- About Our Mission
Why It Matters Section
Across Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, thousands of stray dogs face daily threats — traffic accidents,
disease, hunger, and public misunderstanding. Many are seen as a nuisance rather than living beings in
need of compassion. Maa Animal Foundation exists to change that story, one rescue at a time. Since
2016, we have rescued and treated over 24,000 animals, giving them medical care, food, shelter, and —
where possible — a forever home. We believe every stray deserves dignity, not fear.
Our Services
Emergency Rescue
Our team responds to injured, sick, or distressed dogs across the city. Call our 24/7 helpline and we'll reach the location as quickly as possible.
Medical Treatment
Our shelter provides in-house veterinary care for injured, paralyzed, and chronically ill dogs — many of whom find lifelong sanctuary with us.
Sterilization & Vaccination
We run regular sterilization (ABC) and anti-rabies vaccination drives to control the stray population humanely and protect public health.
Weekly Feeding Drives
Every Sunday, our volunteers feed over 500 stray dogs across Ahmedabad, ensuring no animal goes hungry.
Adoption Program
We help healthy, recovered dogs find loving permanent homes through a simple screening and home- check process.
Pet Cremation Services
We offer a respectful, dignified cremation service for pet owners who have lost a beloved companion.
